If your car registration is coming up, you’ve probably heard you need a “pink slip”. It’s one of the most common jobs we do at Car Care Camden — so here’s the plain-English version of what it is and what to expect.
What is a pink slip, exactly?
A pink slip is the everyday name for an eSafety inspection — a safety check required in NSW to renew registration on most vehicles that are five years or older. We’re an authorised inspection station, so we can carry it out and lodge the result electronically with Transport for NSW.
What we check
- Brakes, steering and suspension
- Tyres, lights and indicators

- Exhaust and emissions
